Behind The Lens
My name is Nathan Constantine. I am a freelance photographer living in Germany with a focus on architecture and landscape photography.
We take photos to create a lasting memory that you can reflect on down the road or maybe to simply remember your wifi password. You collect moments with each press of a shutter that freeze time and preserves the feeling you felt.
I didn’t grow up using a dark room and negative film, although the closest I came was using disposable cameras where you would later disassemble the camera and touch the capacitor for the flash and promptly shock yourself. You know what I’m talking about. My first camera was a point and shoot. My early photos were blurry and uninspiring. Even still for that matter.
The wow moments from photography came from my older brother. We would chase the summer storms across the Alberta prairies. Seeing what he was able capture with his skills on the camera has always been a source of inspiration. The photos he captured always made you stop, just for that moment in time. Evoking emotion that one may feel through the power of a photograph.
My full time job isn’t photography but it takes me to places that I wouldn’t have thought possible to visit. I hope during my travels I can capture those moments that will make you pause in this busy and chaotic yet beautiful world. Even just for a moment.
