Czechia Hidden Gem.

A recent work trip brought me to the eastern side of Czechia, Kroměříž exactly. It is a small city of around 30,000 people with a main square, surrounded by small shops, restaurants and cafes. One thing that caught me by surprise while exploring was this garden. At first, I’m thinking it was a typical green space but it led into a more quaint garden with a pond that the ducks have made a home, and trails leading around to a various fountains, streams, and a bird sanctuary.

One of the surprises in the bird sanctuary were the peacocks that were running around. The male peacocks catch your eye with the colourful feathers they sport. Every once in a while, they would do a loud boisterous call amongst themselves. The peachicks were out in full force, learning what to eat and seeking shelter with mom from the passerby getting to close for comfort.

Travelling to these small towns for work, you just never know what you may come across. They look like drive through towns on the map but when you start exploring the cobble stone streets and parks that make up the city, you may come across a hidden gem like I did.
