Exploring Stockholm.
Over the last little while, I have been in Stockholm and had a few days off from work to get out and do some exploration. I’ve always enjoyed coming to Sweden; the people are friendly, the cities are vibrate and colourful and you don’t need to travel far to escape from the city either. The Stockholm Archipelago consists of some 30,000 islands, and there are many boat tours which you can take that start right from the city, if that’s your thing. There also countless museums throughout the city from the Vasa Museum, Abba Museum, Medieval (which is free) and many more. Chances are when you are in the city, you’ll be taking the metro stations which are amongst themselves art pieces. Each station has their own unique style and adds a splash of colour to a place that is devoid of any natural light.

During the fall and winter seasons, the sun starts to set relatively early in the day. At the winter solstice, it’ll draw below the horizon at just before 3:00 pm in the afternoon. Stark contrast in summer time where it sets at just past 10:00 pm.

Stockholm should be on one of your places to visit. There is a good vibe within the city, a unique old city that you can wander for hours getting lost on the cobble stone streets and you can catch the sunset along one of the many waterfronts that surround the city. I hope you get the chance one day to explore Stockholm as well.
